| THE ILLEGAL USE OF VIDEO CAMERAS WITH AUDIO WHEN USED IN COVERT SITUATIONS AND APPLICATIONS |

The United States Code, Title 18, states that it is illegal for anyone who manufactures, possesses and advertises wire, oral or electronic communication intercepting devices to be used surreptitiously and that it is strictly prohibited.
It is the responsibility of all manufacturers, distributors and dealers to notify anyone who may use video cameras with audio in covert applications that they may be in violation of the United States Wire-Tapping Laws. Any distributor or dealer knowingly selling this equipment for such uses may face severe penalties consisting of financial fines and/or a prison term not to exceed more than five years. In addition, the merchandise may be seized and forfeited. Pelikan Industry, Inc. advocates that we as one of distributors and dealers explain all the ramifications of illegal use to any and all customers and that we advocate immediate prosecution of anyone who uses these products in such an illegal manner. When a camera with built-in audio is surreptitiously in place, all persons within the equipment's range must be informed, in writing, in accordance with Federal Law and/or applicable State Law, that both audio and video monitoring and recording may be in progress. Not complying with the law is a federal offense and punishable to the maximum penalties of the law. (We usually include a couple of signs which reads "VIDEO & AUDIO MONITORING & RECORDING DEVICES IN USE ON THESE PREMISES". If you can not find them in the package, contact us and we'll mail them to you. But, the signs may not be enough to conform to Federal Law and/or applicable local State Law and you have to consult an attorney regarding such law.)
