<Test Operation>
The CT200 coax cable tester is only for RG59 (BNC) coaxial cable.

To get started, place one end of the cable (BNC connector) into the tester (#CT200) as shown left.

Short Test: Leave the other BNC connector open.

  • If the tester does not beep, then it is good.
  • If the tester beeps, the center conductor is shorted or crossed.
Continuity Test: Short the other BNC connector with any metal object such as paper clip or copper wire.
  • If the tester beeps, then it is good.
  • If the tester does not beep, there is a problem in the cable or BNC installation.
